Story behind the Maze Box
I thought it was a little boring to give money or a gift card in an envelope. So I searched up some fun, and a bit annoying, gift boxes on a 3D print platform called MakerWorld. There I found a box where you have to solve a maze to open it. I printed a few of them, but not all of worked very well.
That’s why I wanted to make my own design. I wanted to make a box that actually works, with a simple maze that is still hard to solve. I made a few prototypes and ended up with this product. Now, every time I or someone in my family gives money or a gift card, we put it in a maze box and watch friends struggle to open it. Some people only use a few minutes, while others almost use a whole hour. It makes the present more fun and rewarding when you finally open it.
The maze can then either be something to keep at home and play with, or as brain training, but it can also be used over and over again.
